You can't beat a day out at the seaside - so why not take a walk along one of the longest piers in the country?
Take a stroll along the board walk on Southport Pier or take a ride on the mini train (for a small fare) to the end.
If you have a little money to spend you can play on the penny slots, have an ice cream or stop for a coffee in the cafe at the end of the pier.
If not, there are plenty of benches to sit on while you enjoy your own picnic with incredible views across the Ribble Estuary and on a clear day you can even see Blackpool Tower.
And every year the Southport Air Show flies in so this is the perfect spot to get a look at the amazing aircrafts including Red Arrrows.
