The award-winning Reynolds Park is a real hidden gem, located in what was originally the grounds of a fine mansion house.
A peaceful spot, just three miles from Liverpool city centre, it features a beautiful walled garden, a yew garden, informal woodland areas and rhododendron-lined paths.
The 14-acre park is popular with families, dog-walkers and anyone looking for a place to escape to.
At the beginning of 2018, new play equipment was installed in the park, with two inclined balancing beams and 10 stepping logs - great for the kids to practise their balancing skills.
Pack up a picnic and find the perfect spot with the kids to lay out the blanket and enjoy a game of I Spy while you tuck into your sandwiches.
