Meols Beach is just between Hoylake and Wallasey, just off the A553.
Like Moreton Beach it's a mainly shingle but when the tide goes out this small stretch expands into a wide expanse of mudflats and sand.
Horse riding and sand buggying are popular at certain times of the year at Meols, but be sure to check weather and tide times.
Meols Beach is also popular during the winter for coastal birdwatching as it is next to the North Wirral Coastal Park.
