Just a short walk from Southport town centre, Hesketh Park features play areas, trails and hidden gardens.
There is also mini golf and a cafe and of course a huge lake where you can feed the ducks, geese, swans and other visiting birds.
Don't forget that instead of bread, you should feed the ducks with corn (canned, frozen or fresh), duck pellets, lettuce or other greens, frozen peas (defrosted), oats (rolled or instant) or bird seed.
The Victorian park also features gardens including The Clock Garden and ornate fountains which have been restored to bring the park back to its former glory.
