Exploring Dunham Massey’s wealth of history as the National Trust help tell the story of what life was like at this Georgian house (although the house is currently closed for conservation until February 2018) which was transformed into a military hospital during the First World War.

Learn how members of the home’s Grey family helped the injured soldiers to recuperate. You can also take a stroll through one of Britain’s largest winter gardens, enjoying a game of croquet as you go, and there’s plenty of family activities including the children's garden trail.

Enjoy a guided walk around the deer park or unwind on one of the accessible circular walks before treating yourself to a tasty homemade food at the Stables Restaurant or a snack in the visitor centre café and treat yourself at the ice cream parlour.

Access to the garden starts from £9.50 for adults, £4.75 for children, £24 for a family ticket or £15 for adults for the whole property and £7.50 for children or £37.50 for a family ticket (all prices include gift aid).
