Visiting the Albert Dock, is a rite of passage for youngsters living in Merseyside - and with so much to see and do you can see why.

The iconic landmark - renamed The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool after winning recognition from the Queen for its history and its role in regenerating the city - on Liverpool's waterfront has a great atmosphere and is very popular with families and tourists alike.

Go window shopping or feel the wind through your hair as you take in amazing views across the River Mersey to Wirral.

As well as a variety of different restaurants and bars, you will find exciting places to visit include The Beatles Story and if you're on a budget you can visit the likes of Merseyside Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum and Tate Liverpool for free.

And throughout the year there are often plenty of free family events to go to including Pirates on the Dock, The International Mersey River Festival and Steam on the Dock."
